Come in and enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter! As a child, Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) was encouraged to draw. She spent many a hour making intricate sketches of animals and plants showing an early fascination for the natural world which would continue throughout her life. The young Miss Potter had a lot of pets. Potter watched the animals for hours on end, sketching them and developing her abilities as an artist. Beatrix Potter published twenty-three books including her classic The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published in 1902. This calendar features some of Potter’s most famous and adored furry friends such as Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin and Misses Tiggy-Winkle.
