The word volcano originates from Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. Revered and sometimes feared, volcanoes blast lava, steam, and ash capriciously. They serve as emphatic reminders of just how dynamic Earth is. Members of the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI) contributed the photographs to this spectacular Volcanoes wall calendar.  This BrownTrout 2010 calendar is a certified FSC (Forest Stewardship Council www.fsc.org) Green product. It is printed with soy and vegetable based inks on sustainable paper from FSC certified forests.
